Biography
Annemarie Sedlmair was born in Munich in 1987. After earning her law degree at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, she completed an internship at the Higher Regional Court in Munich. After passing the second State Examination in Law, Annemarie Sedlmair worked as a legal advisor on social affairs for the VdK welfare association’s regional branch in Munich.
Annemarie Sedlmair has served as Secretary of the IG Metall trade union since December 2015, starting at the Munich office and most recently heading up IG Metall’s legal department. In August 2022, she was appointed to IG Metall’s regional management team in Bavaria, where she works as a legal specialist in the Collective Bargaining Policy department, focusing on collective bargaining and labor law. Ms. Sedlmair was a member of the Supervisory Board of Bosch Sicherheitssysteme GmbH from February 2019 to June 2022. Since February 2023, she is member of the Supervisory Board of Bosch Rexroth AG.
Annemarie Sedlmair also works as an Honorary Judge at the Social Court in Munich, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Special Academy for Labor Law at Kritische Akademie Inzell.
