Andrea Geiger*

Biography

Andrea Geiger was born in 1967 in Munich, Germany. After completing her studies in computer science at the Technical University of Munich, she began her career in 1994 at Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH in Munich. Following the transfer of all IT employees to what is now Knorr-Bremse Services GmbH, she most recently worked in Global IT, within the Global Client Services team.

In 2010, Andrea Geiger was elected to the Works Council of the joint operation comprising Knorr-Bremse AG, Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH, Knorr-Bremse Services GmbH Germany and KB Media GmbH in Munich. From 2015 onwards, she was partially released from her regular duties for her role as a works council member. From 2018 to 2022, she served as Deputy Chair of the Works Council of the joint operation and acted as a fully released works council member during this period. In 2022, she was elected Chair of the Works Council of the joint operation, also as a fully released works council member.

In addition, from 2022 to 2026, Andrea Geiger served as Chair of the Central Works Council of Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH in Munich and Berlin, as well as Chair of the Group Works Council for all company locations in Germany.

In 2026, Andrea Geiger returned to operational IT activities and has since been working as an IT Service Analyst. She continues to be a member of the Works Council of the joint operation in Munich, which now includes Knorr-Bremse AG, Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH, Knorr-Bremse Services GmbH Germany and Intellectual Property GmbH & Co. KG.

She has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Knorr-Bremse AG since 2026.
